Addington Results for NR Pony Riders

Northern Region and NIYD members Katie Burns and Roisin Muirhead recently competed at the Addington CDIP.

Katies 13 year old pony Caracus II has been out of competition and training for most of the Spring due to an allergic condition,so when he finally came right it was a last minute decision to travel.  Katie who hopes to compete at the European Championships again this year did an excellent job of containing the sometimes fresh pony to achieve a level +64% in each of the three competitions.

Roisin was riding the ten year old Dunsallan owned by her mother Berni at her first International competition.  Achieving a 1% rise in scores each day Roisin and the attractive dun gelding showed how her acceptance onto the Dressage Ireland Pony high performance squad has helped develop her work.
Unfortunately Alana Cazabon Sullivan was unable to travel her two ponies as she had broken ribs following a recent fall.  Emily Kate Robinson and the 17 year old Tisara Hill and Sophie Walsh riding the 22 year old Horseleap Bruno completed the squad.  Results can be found on the Addington Manor website.
Team Chef and coach Ann Marie Dunphy was pleased with the tremendous effort put in by all the riders and support crew.
Team selection for this years Championships to be held in Sweden rest on results at major shows throughout the Spring and into the summer.
